What is the authenticity of the supplication: "A restrainer has restrained, a dry stone. The eye of the envier is turned back upon him and upon the dearest people to him. So return [your] vision, do you see any breaks? Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued," for protection against envy?

The supplication: "In the name of Allah, a restrainer has restrained, and a dry stone, and a blazing meteor. Then return the gaze twice, [your] gaze will return to you humbled while it is fatigued" (Qur'an 67:3-4) was mentioned by some scholars such as Ibn Asakir, Abu Nu'aym, Al-Manawi, and Ibn Al-Qayyim. It is narrated in the story of Abu Abdullah Al-Saji, who recited it, and the eye of the envier was repelled, and his she-camel stood up sound. This supplication is not a noble prophetic hadith; rather, it is a supplication recited by a righteous man.
