Isn't the hadith about the People of the Book being forced into the narrowest paths a form of harm?

The meaning of the Hadith: "And if you meet one of them on a path, force him to its narrowest part" is not to make way for them out of honor and respect, and not to push them into a narrow place on a wide path. The questioner is advised to verify his religious opinions, to refer the ambiguous to the clear, and to entrust the knowledge of what is unclear to Allah Almighty, because whoever speaks without knowledge follows his whims.
