Does acting upon the Hadith: "Do not greet Jews or Christians first, and if you meet one of them on a road, force him to its narrowest part" not deter people from entering Islam?

The best callers and guides to Allah is the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and any understanding of his words that contradicts wisdom must be questioned. The Hadith: "Do not initiate salutations with the Jews or Christians, and if you meet one of them on a path, force him to its narrowest part" means not making way for them or dispersing when you meet them, but rather continuing on your way and making it difficult for them if such a situation arises. This does not mean pressing them against walls, but rather it is a demonstration of the Muslim's might, not a repulsion from Islam.
