If the deceased leaves behind only a father, a wife, sons, and daughters, then the father receives one-sixth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, and the wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant. The remainder is distributed among the sons and daughters by ta'sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females. The inheritance is divided into 192 shares: the father receives 32 shares, the wife receives 24 shares, each son receives 34 shares, and each daughter receives 17 shares. The father's share passes to his heirs after his death. The wife may relinquish her share to whomever she wishes, so long as she is not suffering from a death-illness.
