What is the difference between jinn, devils, and 'afarit?

Jinn are a world other than the world of humans and angels. They share with humans intellect, perception, and the ability to choose, but differ from them in origin. They were named "Jinn" because of their concealment from eyes.

Jinn have ranks: Jinni: (General Jinn) 'Amir: (Those who dwell with people) Arwah: (Those who appear to children) Shaytan: (If it becomes malicious and stubborn) Marid: (If its malice increases) 'Ifreet: (If its power becomes great and its malice increases)
