How do I bring forth the intention?

Intention is sought in two ways: First: Sincerity in action for Allah alone and avoidance of showing off. Second: Bringing the action to mind, such as the intention for ablution or prayer, and specifying whether it is an obligatory or supererogatory act. The intention in the first sense is more important because it is the essence of Islam. Bringing the intention to mind in the second sense is easy because it follows knowledge.
