What should I intend in my heart if I want to perform an act of worship in compliance with Allah's command, but I do not recall a specific proof or know of its obligation? And is it permissible to intend that it is obligatory? And is it permissible to intend compliance with the command of Allah and the command of the Messenger (peace be upon him) if I recall a hadith in which the Messenger (peace be upon him) commanded us to do this thing? And is the command of the Messenger (peace be upon him) considered from the command of Allah?

Intention (niyyah) is a condition for the validity of worship, based on the Almighty's saying: "And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion," and the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Deeds are only by intentions." The prescribed intention in obligatory worship is to comply with Allah Almighty's command or to perform what He has made obligatory. It is sufficient for a Muslim to know that what he is performing is an obligation. The command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is considered part of Allah Almighty's command, for whoever obeys him has obeyed Allah, because he is the one who conveys from Him, glory be to Him.
