Is it true that Makkah Al-Mukarramah, may Allah protect it, is safeguarded from aggression?
Allah has bestowed a favor upon His servants by making the Haram a place of security, as He states: (Have they not seen that We have made a sacred sanctuary secure, while people are being snatched away from all around them?) and (And whoever enters it shall be secure), and (And has secured them from fear). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also emphasized this, saying: "Indeed, this city was made sacred by Allah the day He created the heavens and the earth, so it is sacred by Allah's sanctity until the Day of Resurrection." However, this security is a legal (Shar'i) matter, not a preordained (Qadari) one. Indeed, fighting later occurred within it, such as the invasion by the people of Sham during the time of Yazid and the incident of the Qaramita. Allah has protected the inhabitants of the Two Holy Sanctuaries from the tribulation of the Dajjal, yet the Kaaba will be demolished at the end of time by a man from Abyssinia named Dhu al-Suwayqatayn.
