What is the wisdom behind not wearing sewn garments in a state of Ihram?

What is forbidden for a pilgrim in the state of ihram is wearing tailored garments, meaning clothes that are cut to fit the body, such as trousers, shirts, and the like, not merely garments that contain thread.
