Is the madhhab of the majority that it is reprehensible to let one's garment hang below the ankles, based on Abu Bakr's hadith, "You are not one of them"?

It is Haram (forbidden) for a man to let his garments hang below the ankles out of pride and arrogance, according to scholarly consensus, and this is considered one of the major sins. As for letting garments hang below the ankles without the intention of pride, scholars have differed on this matter, holding three opinions: prohibition, disapproval (karahah), and permissibility without disapproval. The majority of scholars from the four schools of thought hold the view that it is not forbidden, while others, especially contemporary scholars, consider it forbidden.
