Is lying on the stomach considered a sin, based on the saying, "Indeed, this is a posture that Allah dislikes"?
Sleeping on the stomach is disliked due to the prohibition of the Prophet (peace be upon him) concerning it, as narrated by Abu Dawud from Tikhfah ibn Qays al-Ghifari who said: "While I was lying on my stomach in the mosque during the pre-dawn hours, a man started nudging me with his foot and said: 'This is a way of lying down that Allah dislikes.' I looked and saw that it was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)." Therefore, it should be avoided, but there is no sin in doing it, because it is disliked (makrooh) and not forbidden (haram).
