What is the ruling on someone who loves a person who burned mosques and blasphemed against the rituals of Allah, under the pretext of his hatred for his opponents?

We did not say that burning a mosque is absolute disbelief (kufr). Rather, its ruling depends on its cause. If the intent is to insult the House of Allah, then it is disbelief. However, if it is due to a dispute or enmity, it is not disbelief. An example of this is the siege of the Sacred House by Al-Hajjaj. As for the ruling on loving the perpetrator of such an act, it depends on the reason for that love. Whoever loves a disbeliever for his disbelief is like him. But whoever loves him due to a worldly relationship, such as kinship or dealings, that is permissible, provided that he is hated for his religion. And the focus on clarifying the truth and refuting falsehood should take precedence over declaring people disbelievers.
