Blood money (Diyya) and expiation (Kaffara) are obligatory for abortion if the fetus has taken on a human form. The mentioned amount for blood money is the full blood money of a fetus, and it is to be paid to the heirs of the fetus, who are its mother and her male agnates ( عصبتها). The blood money is not doubled if the abortion occurs during the sacred months (Ashhur Al-Hurum). As for praying over a miscarried fetus in which human creation has become apparent, there is a difference of opinion among scholars. What is obligatory is sincere repentance (Tawbah Nasuh) to Allah Almighty for that transgression.
