Is it permissible to watch and circulate video clips depicting tragedies such as the death of a woman during adultery (with her body covered but her face visible), car accidents, natural disasters, plane crashes, or souls departing in a bad end, with the intention of admonition and gaining insight?

It is impermissible to show a woman in video clips and publish them, because she is 'awrah (i.e., her body is considered private and must be covered), and the Shari'ah has not made an exception to this except for what is out of necessity or dire need, such as looking at a prospective fiancée or for medical treatment. It is not permissible to publish clips in which women appear in inappropriate situations, unless the woman's image is completely blurred. It is permissible to publish road accidents and disasters for lessons and admonition, provided that they do not include images of women or exposure of 'awrah. Care should be taken to remind people of the Qur'an and Sunnah, with the permissibility of using authentic stories free from lies and that do not incite desires.
