What is the ruling on filming and publishing clips of hadd punishments being carried out on individuals, or of a person struggling with the throes of death, for the purpose of admonition and gaining insight?

It is not permissible to photograph living beings except for a legitimate Sharia interest. If the photograph is of foreign women, the prohibition becomes more severe. It is also not permissible to photograph those upon whom the حد (prescribed punishment) is being carried out, nor those who are in the throes of death, whether they are disobedient or otherwise.

For admonition, one can visit the sick or relate the circumstances of those who are dying.

What is required is to conceal the transgressions of those who commit sins and not to expose them, because the prescribed punishments are expiations, and the sanctity of a believer after their death is like their sanctity before it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said in the story of Ma'iz: "O Hazzal, had you covered him with your garment, it would have been better for you."
