What is the ruling on a renegade father marrying off his Muslim daughter, and is it permissible to choose another guardian in his place?

If a Muslim intends to perform more than one righteous deed, they can combine their intentions for them, provided these deeds are homogeneous and not contradictory. For example, a Muslim can perform ritual bathing (ghusl (definition)) for major impurity (janabah (definition)), and simultaneously intend it for the Friday ghusl, salutation of the mosque (tahiyat al-masjid), obligatory prayer (salat al-faridah), fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, or the White Days, or making up missed prayers.
