What should a young woman do whose father wants to prevent her from wearing the hijab and insults her and her mother for their refusal?

It is obligatory for you to adhere to hijab and modesty, as it is a command from Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) to the believing women. Allah the Almighty says: "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments." [Al-Ahzab: 59]. And Allah the Almighty says: "And let them cast their headcovers over their bosoms and not reveal their adornment except to their husbands..." [An-Nur: 31]. Severe warnings have been reported in the noble Hadith for women who are clothed yet naked. There is no obedience to anyone in removing the hijab, for the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator." You must treat your father kindly, be dutiful to him, and be patient with his harm; perhaps Allah will guide him.
