Is it permissible to name a baby girl "Aylan" with the intention of "a gathering of deer (ghazal)," and what are the other meanings of this name and the name "Nouran"?

"Ayil" (أيل) refers to a mountain goat or ibex, its plural being "Aylan" (أيلان). "Aylan" can also mean salvation or deliverance. If the name signifies salvation, there is no harm in naming a girl with it. However, if it refers to an ibex, it is not suitable for a female. We recommend naming daughters after the female companions of the Prophet (Sahabiyat).

As for the name "Nooran" (نوران), it is derived from "nour" (نور), meaning light. The addition of "an" (ان) might be for emphasis, and there is no harm in using it. It could also be a softened form of "Noorhan" (نورهان), which means "radiant queen" or "light of the king," and in this case, there is also no harm in using it.
