Is it forbidden to acquire money or work in any other way—such as gifts from parents or employment—if one of the conditions for the university scholarship is not to acquire any other financial income?

The student must adhere to the university's condition of not working during the study period, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts," and the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." This is because the university has a valid purpose in this, which is for the student to dedicate themselves to their studies. If the student believes they cannot fulfill this condition, it is not permissible for them to apply for the scholarship and then violate it. This condition means not engaging in any employment, but it does not prevent receiving money as a gift, charity, or maintenance from a parent.
