Every human being has a qareen (companion) from among the jinn, and one can protect themselves from its evil by consistently engaging in (remembrance of Allah) and acts of obedience. When a Muslim remembers Allah, his satanic companion retreats and recedes. Satan engulfs the heart of the servant, but when Allah is remembered, he retreats; and when one becomes heedless, he whispers. It has been established that Satan flows through the son of Adam like blood, and a person cannot safeguard themselves from their enemy except through dhikr.
