The answer

There is no harm in taking medication for illnesses, provided that the medicine does not cause complications. It is recommended to start with (Islamic exorcism/incantation) and treatment with natural substances such as honey and herbs. It is advised not to take chemical treatments for anxiety, as anxiety requires spiritual treatment by increasing faith and trust in Allah, and by frequent supplication and prayer. This repels anxiety and brings solace to the heart. The more knowledgeable a doctor is about Allah and His religion, the better counsel he will give the patient. A believer may suffer from psychological illness, and its lawful treatment through ruqyah is more effective than material medications. Among its remedies are the well-known supplications: "O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant..." and "There is no god but You; glory be to You! Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers." The weakness of faith in the current era emphasizes reliance on material medications, whereas lawful remedies were more effective in the past.
