Is it permissible to mention to people the miraculous manifestations (karamat) that occur to believers, or must they be concealed? And is mentioning them considered self-praise, or is it something desirable and a glad tiding for the believer? And what are the conditions for attaining this rank?

There is no objection to a person speaking about what Allah has bestowed upon them, as a way of thanking Allah and proclaiming His blessings, based on His saying, the Exalted: "But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]." And among the ways of showing gratitude for blessings is to speak of them. It is desirable not to speak of blessings in the presence of those whose envy is feared. However, it is forbidden to speak of miracles as a means of boasting, self-praise, or claiming sainthood. The difference between speaking of a blessing and boasting about it is: that one who speaks of a blessing highlights Allah's attributes of generosity and benevolence, whereas boasting means using it to assert superiority over people and make them feel that one is more honored and greater than them. Miracles and extraordinary occurrences do not necessarily indicate the sainthood of their possessor.
