Are the angels included in Allah's saying: "And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds," and what are the manifestations of mercy for them?

The apparent meaning of the words of Al-Tabari and Ibn Kathir is that angels are not included in the general term "al-alamin" (worlds/beings) mentioned in the verse. Rather, what is meant are jinn and humans, to whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was sent to warn them, as in His Almighty's saying: "that he may be a warner to the worlds."
