Is the first saying regarding the interpretation of the Noble Verse, "And say not 'Three'—desist, it is better for you," the only correct one because it is linked to other verses, and does this mean that the Qur’an did not negate the Trinity as understood by Christians?

Scholars have differed in interpreting "third of three" mentioned in the verse. Some believe it refers to the Christian Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), while others see it as general, encompassing any form of Trinity. Still others believe the verse refers to the deification by Christians of God, Christ, and Mary. This is supported by the context of the verses that followed, which mentioned the reality of Christ and his mother, and His (Allah's) saying: "And [mention] when Allah will say, 'O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, "Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah"?'" This confirms that Christians deify and worship Mary. Al-Mu'allimi al-Yamani stated that "three" in the verse refers to: Allah Almighty, Jesus, and his mother.
