Do Christians deify Mary—peace be upon her? And what is the meaning of: {Certainly, disbelievers are those who say that Allah is the third of three}? And who is meant in the verse? And what is the evidence from the Quran and Sunnah for the invalidity of the divinity of the Holy Spirit?

Allah is One, there is no god but Him. The proof of this is the corruption of the universe if it had more than one god. And Jesus and Mary, peace be upon them both, ate food, which indicates their humanity and need, while Allah the Almighty is transcendent above such things. Among the textual proofs are verses from the Holy Quran that clarify the disbelief of those who claimed the divinity of Christ or the Trinity, and call them to repentance. And the truth of Tawhid (monotheism) is the foundation of religion, and it is known by contemplating Allah's names and attributes, and by knowing that He is the One who is unique in creation, governance, and bestowal of blessings, and the invalidity of man-made deities, and the agreement of the heavenly books and the testimony of messengers and prophets to this, and what Allah has shown of cosmic and internal signs of His Oneness. And the Quran is the greatest proof of Tawhid.
