Is zakat obligatory on a deposit in an Islamic bank, which represents a guarantee for a company to obtain facilities?

Zakat is obligatory on deposits, just like on pledges, every year. It is permissible to delay paying Zakat on them until they are retrieved. Then, upon retrieval, Zakat for the past years must be paid.
