There is no harm in delaying the Dhuhr prayer until 2:30, and the prayer is valid. However, one must be careful not to be lenient so that the prayer time does not expire. It is preferable to perform the prayer at the beginning of its time. If that is not possible, then it is permissible to pray at the end of the time before it expires, but it is not permissible to delay it until after its time has expired. Similarly, the Asr prayer must be performed before the sun yellows, because the right of Allah takes precedence over the rights of creation.
