What is the ruling on a father who asks his married daughters to abandon their husbands to serve him, despite there being someone to care for him, and whose continuous demands cause his children financial and psychological exhaustion, while he repeatedly tells them, "and to parents do good," despite his wealth?

The father's right is great, but after a daughter marries, her husband's right over her becomes greater than her father's, and her obedience to him is more obligatory. It is not permissible for a father to compel his married daughters to serve him without the permission and consent of their husbands, especially if the father is self-sufficient and does not need their service. Children are not obligated to spend on their father if he possesses enough for himself, but it is commendable for them to do so. The service of children to their father is obligatory within reasonable limits and according to their ability. The father should appreciate the efforts of his children and pray for their righteousness. It is not permissible for children to disobey their father, no matter how harsh he may be.
