Does sin fall upon one who signs in a female colleague at work, knowing she is late or will not attend, without the employer's knowledge?

It is not permissible for an employee or a student to sign on behalf of a colleague, because it involves lying, cheating, consuming wealth unlawfully, and participating in deception and betrayal of trust. The latecomer or absentee must inform the employer and beware of ill-gotten gains, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every body that is nourished by unlawful earnings, the Fire is more befitting for it."
