What is the ruling on consuming Sadaqah nowadays for one whose lineage connects to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, through Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq?

The obligatory charity (Zakat (definition)) is not permissible for the Household of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt), due to the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him: "Indeed, charity is not befitting for the family of Muhammad; it is merely the impurities of people." However, many jurists have favored the permissibility for the Household of the Prophet to receive voluntary charities if they are denied their right to the one-fifth (Khums), as compensation for their right, and because denying them would increase their poverty. As for supererogatory charity, it is permissible for them to take from it.
