How can the fear of scandal be overcome to ensure that repentance is sincerely for the sake of Allah Almighty?

Infallibility from sins belongs to no human being other than the prophets. It is not strange for a Muslim to commit sins, but the mistake lies in not accepting repentance. Repentance has conditions, and if they are met, it is a valid repentance, one of which is sincerity. A Muslim should embark on repentance, and if he is assailed by the feeling that his repentance was out of fear of exposure, he should resist these intrusive thoughts. This feeling does not invalidate the essence of repentance. A Muslim should not remain isolated from people; rather, he should seek help from Allah, go out to them, pray with the congregation, be strong, ask his Lord for well-being, and frequently remember Allah and say: "Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."
