What is the ruling on dealing with a husband who suspects his religiously committed wife?

Jealousy is natural and indicates true love, but its excessive increase without proof is madness and leads to discord. The husband must be wary of going too far in his suspicions, because delving into people's honor and accusing them is a great sin that may necessitate a legal punishment, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, those who accuse chaste women, unaware [of the evil], believing — they are cursed in this world and the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment." And the wife must be patient and try to convince her husband to abandon suspicion, and avoid anything that arouses his jealousy.
