How is the inheritance divided if the deceased has only a maternal half-brother, was unmarried, and his mother and father died before him, and he has no paternal uncles or aunts?

If the deceased left no heirs other than a uterine brother (maternal brother), then he inherits the entire estate. He takes one-sixth as a prescribed share due to the Almighty's saying: "{And if a man or a woman leaves no direct heir but has a brother or a sister [on the mother's side], then each one of them gets a sixth.}" The remainder he takes by way of return (radd), based on the general prophetic saying: "And whoever leaves behind wealth, it is for his heirs."
