Is a financial ransom (fidyah) obligatory for a tattoo made by the mother out of ignorance before her death?

We ask Allah to have mercy on your mother and forgive her, and that she be excused due to ignorance. There is no fidyah (ransom) or kaffarah (expiation) for tattoos. The living person's duty is to repent and remove it if it does not cause harm. As for the deceased, we entrust her matter to Allah. Her family should seek forgiveness for her and supplicate for mercy upon her, and giving charity on her behalf is preferable.
