What is the ruling of the Shari'ah concerning a girl who aborted a fetus resulting from zina before her repentance and marriage, and now fears informing her current husband about the diyah (blood money) for the fetus, which she only recently learned about? How can she pay it to heirs she does not know?

The girl has done well by repenting and turning to God from the abomination of adultery and the abortion of the fetus. We ask God to accept her repentance. The abortion of a fetus after its formation (after 40 days) necessitates a blood money (diyah), which is one-tenth of the mother's blood money, and it is to be paid to the heirs of the fetus, excluding its mother. If the heirs are unknown, their share is to be given to the poor and needy. The fetus is not attributed to the fornicator, nor does he inherit from it. Rather, its heirs are the living relatives of the mother at the time of the abortion. There is no obligation to inform the husband; rather, concealment is required.
