The answer

We have previously explained that the excrement and vomit of an infant are impure according to the majority of scholars, and that the Malikis differentiate in vomit between that which has changed and that which has not. There is no difference in this regard between male and female infants; rather, the difference between them pertains to urine. Many scholars hold that a small amount of vomit is excused due due to the difficulty of guarding against it and its widespread occurrence. This is also the chosen view of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.
