Is infant vomit ritually impure (najis) or not, is a small amount of it excused, and how is it to be washed if it is impure?

Scholars differ regarding the impurity of vomit. The majority of scholars hold it to be impure. The Malikis are of the view that altered vomit is impure, while unaltered vomit is pure. There is no difference between the vomit of a child and that of an adult. However, some scholars permit leniency regarding the impurity of an infant's vomit on its mother if it becomes excessive. It is commendable for her to wash it and designate a garment specifically for prayer. Vomit is washed like other tangible impurities.
