What is the practical role of the father and mother in raising children and taking care of the home? And who monitors the prayers of the children (8 and 13 years old) and directs them to pray? And does the father help his wife with household chores? And does he care about helping the children memorize the Quran and Sunnah, or is his role limited to work and following up on the children’s affairs through the mother?

Raising children is a shared responsibility between both parents. Parents must teach their children prayer and purification at the age of seven, and discipline them for abandoning it at the age of ten. The father must also teach his children the Quran and the Sunnah, especially what is necessary for the correctness of their acts of worship. As for household chores, the wife's service to her husband is obligatory, while the husband's assistance to his wife is recommended, and this is from the guidance of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
