Why do you issue a definitive ruling prohibiting plucking (al-Nams), despite the existence of texts and statements from imams that permit plucking under certain conditions, and interpret the prohibition as referring to deception, as stated in Fatwa No. 176199 regarding Ibn al-Jawzi and Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her?

The fatwa on plucking (al-Nams) that we published prohibits plucking for purposes other than removing a defect or blemish, but we do not prohibit it if it is for removing a defect or a necessity. The proof of prohibition for mere beautification is the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, who cursed "the one who tattoos and the one who has herself tattooed, the one who plucks eyebrows and the one who has them plucked, and the one who files her teeth for beauty, altering Allah's creation." Ibn Mas'ud supported his ruling with the Noble Quran in the verse: "And whatever the Messenger has given you—take it; and whatever he has forbidden you—refrain from it."
