What is the certainty a supplicant feels after his supplication: Is it the answer to the supplication immediately or later, or the warding off of an affliction, or its storage for the Day of Judgment?

When supplicating, a Muslim should be sincere, present in heart, and certain of a response. He should also perform good deeds and have a good opinion of Allah, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Supplicate to Allah while you are certain of a response, and know that Allah does not answer a supplication from an inattentive, heedless heart." The fulfillment of the supplication does not necessarily mean the exact desired outcome will be achieved, for Allah knows best what is good for His servant. So, He may answer him in this world, or save it for him in the Hereafter, or avert some evil from him.
