Does the blessing (barakah) of money and food increase by reciting Ayat al-Kursi and the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) over them?

Reciting the Quran over food and drink is an innovation (bid'ah), for worship is based on divine command (tawqif), and it has not been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, nor from his companions, that they did such a thing. Had it been good, they would have preceded us to it. Muslims in previous times suffered drought and hunger, yet they did not do anything like this. Every innovation is a misguidance.
