Is it permissible to use products from a company that sells nutritional supplements through a multi-level marketing system, and to benefit from them if there is a Sharia flaw in the sales system? And is it permissible to sell this company's products without receiving commissions from it?

We have previously explained that among the reasons for the prohibition of multi-level marketing and similar schemes is the condition that the participant pays money for membership, or for a product that is often not the intended purpose. Rather, the intention is merely to join and to obtain the rewards that the participant hopes for.

However, if membership is free, or if the participant buys the product to benefit from it at a price similar to its value, then there is no harm in him marketing the company's permissible products in exchange for a known commission for that promotion. However, having the remuneration as a percentage of the profit is not permissible according to the majority of scholars.

There is no harm in buying the company's products and selling them for profit without promoting them or joining their marketing system.
