Is it permissible to perform the eclipse prayer during a penumbral lunar eclipse, which is not noticeable to the naked eye, or should one wait until the partial or total eclipse begins?

The eclipse prayer is not legislated except by actually seeing the eclipse, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "(So when you see them, pray and supplicate until what is with you is removed)." It is not permissible to pray based on what is published in newspapers or mentioned by astronomers if the eclipse has not been seen.
