Is the saying "Whoever performs Hajj should leave room for others" true?

The statement that one who performs the obligatory Hajj should leave room for others is incorrect. The texts indicate the virtue of Hajj, among them the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Follow up between Hajj and Umrah, for they eliminate poverty and sins just as a blacksmith's bellows removes the dross of iron, gold, and silver."

A pilgrim can go to Hajj without causing harm or being harmed by dealing gently and considering the circumstances. He can hasten when there is ample space and slow down when it is crowded, being careful not to harm anyone or be harmed himself.

However, if Hajj conflicts with a more beneficial interest, such as the need for money for jihad in the way of Allah or to alleviate a severe famine, then spending money on these matters is more paramount than performing a supererogatory Hajj.
