Is the Hadith "No wealth is accumulated except from stinginess or unlawful means" authentic or fabricated?

We have not come across the saying that "only misers hoard vast sums of money." The apparent meaning of this statement contradicts the actions of the Companions, who used to pay the zakat (definition) on their wealth and give abundant charity, yet still accumulated vast sums of money. We draw attention to the fact that there is no sin in hoarding wealth on which zakat has been paid. Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about her jewelry, asking if it was kenz (hoarded wealth), and he replied: "If its zakat is paid, then it is not kenz."
