Is it permissible to push the ignorant people who pray in the mataf and obstruct the tawaf, especially during severe crowding?
Whoever prays behind Maqam Ibrahim (the Station of Abraham), peace be upon him, while the circumambulators are in need of the space, has wronged himself and others. He is sinful and an aggressor, and has no right to that place. It is permissible to push him, pass in front of him, and step over him while he is prostrating, because the two rak'ahs of tawaf (circumambulation) are permissible anywhere in the Mosque, and Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, prayed the two rak'ahs of tawaf in Dhu Tuwa.
