If the bleeding exceeds fifteen days, the woman is considered to be in a state of istihadah (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). In this case, what coincides with her usual period is considered menstruation, or she should rely on sound discrimination if she does not have a customary period. Otherwise, she should consider the predominant custom of women (six or seven days) as menstruation, and anything beyond that is istihadah. If she experiences purity for thirteen days, she has recovered from istihadah. As for white or transparent discharges, their ruling is the same as that of vaginal secretions.
