Is the statement, "Seek a Lord with whom you feel closest and protected from evil," considered misguidance, and does its utterer bear the sin of shirk (polytheism) if the listener follows this statement and believes in other than Allah based on their feeling of tranquility and closeness? And does this fall under the warning, "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him," [Quran 4:48] with the hope of forgiveness in His saying, the Most High, "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves...'" [Quran 39:53]?
