The answer

You must receive distress with patience, submission, and contentment with Allah's decree, for all His matters are good for the believer, and it may be a trial to raise ranks and expiate sins. Allah has promised the patient a great reward and abundant recompense, as He says: "And give good tidings to the patient, who, when adversity strikes them, say, 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.' Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided." What aids patience is the knowledge that impatience is of no benefit, that Allah's decree is immutable, and that seeking Allah's help brings assistance and patience.
