Is it permissible to engage in anal sex with one's wife, especially in Ramadan after Iftar, if there is complete sexual compatibility between the spouses?

Al-Manawi mentioned that Malik was asked about anal intercourse with women, and he replied: "I have just done so with the mother of my child." He also heard Nafi' saying: "I certainly do that with my wives and slave-girls," and regarding this, the verse "Your women are a tilth for you" was revealed.

Ibn Hajar said: The origin of this, regarding the cause of revelation, is narrated from Ibn Umar, Nafi', and Malik through authentic chains of transmission.

The correct understanding of the cause of revelation is approaching a woman in her front passage from the direction of her back, not anal intercourse, which is forbidden according to the four imams. No authentic narration has been reported from the Salaf permitting it.
